InterGroup is looking for an experienced Class 5 Driver Operator to join our Auckland Waste team.

This is a full-time, hands-on role operating heavy vehicles across a range of waste collection and transport activities. If you're a reliable driver who enjoys variety, takes pride in your work, and values being part of a good team, we'd like to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Class 5 Driver Operator, you'll operate heavy vehicles across Auckland, transporting waste safely and efficiently between customer sites and disposal facilities.

While driving is the primary focus, this isn't just a seat-only role. You'll also be involved in loading and unloading, completing vehicle checks, working with customers, and supporting day-to-day operational activities.

Every day is different, with a variety of sites, customers, and jobs across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 5 vehicles across a range of waste transport activities

• Complete daily vehicle and equipment inspections

• Load, transport, and unload waste safely and efficiently

• Complete required transport and job documentation

• Work closely with customers and operational teams

• Maintain high standards of health and safety

• Represent InterGroup professionally on customer sites

About You

You'll have:

• A full Class 5 driver's licence

• Experience operating Class 5 heavy vehicles

• A strong commitment to working safely

• Good communication and customer service skills

• A reliable, positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Good physical fitness and willingness to assist with operational tasks when required

• Dangerous Goods endorsement

• Experience within the waste, transport, civil, or industrial sectors
