Project Director

ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced Project Director to join a leading civil contractor and lead the tender for a major civil infrastructure project in New Zealand.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior leader with experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects and managing major bids from planning through to project award.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the tender and bid process for a major infrastructure project.
• Manage the planning, commercial, and technical aspects of the bid.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Lead and coordinate the project team throughout the tender phase.
• Identify project risks and develop practical solutions.
• Support the project through to delivery after contract award.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects.
• Previous experience as a Project Director, Senior Project Manager, or similar.
• Experience leading large project bids or tenders.
• Strong background in earthworks, roading, and concrete projects.
• Wind farm project experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and commercial skills.
