We are looking for two experienced Hairdressers to join our friendly salon team in Shirley, Christchurch.

Location: Shirley, Christchurch

Hours: 30–40hours per week

Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We are a professional Hair salon in Shirly, Christchurch, dedicated to providing high-quality hair design services. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hairdressers ( 2 positions)to join our friendly and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Consulting with clients to determine suitable hairstyles, cuts, colours, and treatments

• Cutting, trimming, layering, shaping, and styling hair using a variety of techniques

• Shampooing, conditioning, and treating hair and scalp

• Applying colouring, bleaching, tinting, highlighting, and other chemical treatments

• Straightening, perming, and performing other hair restructuring treatments

• Shaving, trimming, and grooming beards and moustaches where required

• Recommending hair care products and providing aftercare advice to clients

• Maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism

• Cleaning and sanitising equipment, tools, and workstations

• Assisting with general salon operations, including opening and closing procedures

Minimum Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

• At least 2 years of verifiable, relevant work experience, or A relevant hairdressing qualification required

• Experience in beauty therapy services will be an advantage

• Good communication and customer-service skills

• Sound knowledge of hair cutting, colouring, styling and Chemical treatments

Employment Details

• Type of employment: Full-time, permanent

• Guaranteed hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, up to 40 hours depending on demand

• Work schedule: Five days per week on a rostered basis (may include weekends and public holidays)

• Pay rate: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on skills and experience
