Brian Baker Instrumentation Services Ltd. (BBISL) is inviting expressions of interest from experienced New Zealand-based tradespeople and technicians interested in joining our team.

With more than 30 years’ experience, BBISL delivers practical instrumentation, electrical, fiscal metering, high voltage and fluid system solutions across New Zealand’s industrial and energy sectors.

As our business continues to grow, we are expanding further into power generation, broader energy markets, manufacturing and specialist industrial work, while continuing to support customers through our FITOK instrumentation fittings, valves and fluid system solutions.

· Industrial electricians

· Instrument technicians

· Instrument fitters

· Tube fitters

· High voltage technicians

· E&I technicians

· Commissioning technicians

· Maintenance and project technicians

Ideally, you will bring:

· Proven experience in industrial electrical, instrumentation, fitting, tubing, high voltage or E&I work

· Strong fault-finding and practical problem-solving skills

· Experience with industrial instrumentation, control systems, tubing, fittings, valves and electrical equipment

· Current relevant NZ registration, practising licence, trade certification or equivalent experience

· High voltage switching qualifications and experience, advantageous

· Hazardous area experience or endorsement, advantageous

· EWRB endorsements for hazardous area, supervision, or mains parallel generation systems, advantageous where applicable

· A strong commitment to health, safety and quality workmanship

· Flexibility to travel when required for project and client work

· The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team

· A practical, solutions-focused mindset and pride in doing the job right

Location: New Plymouth based, with travel outside the region as required
