THE OPPORTUITY

Looking to stretch your technical accounting skills in a role with real variety and purpose?

As Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll be part of a small, experienced team where you’ll be supported and mentored as you take on a broad range of responsibilities, from treasury accounting and asset revaluations, preparing statutory statements and reporting to the Crown.

You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with a collaborative finance team, supporting the Financial Accounting Manager and wider business, while also contributing to risk management, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. If you're someone who enjoys balancing detailed reporting with commercial thinking, you’ll thrive in this role.

You’ll join the team in the office on Monday and Tuesday, the rest of the week is flexible for some work from home.

About You

You’re a technically strong accountant who enjoys variety and wants to make a real impact in a small, collaborative team. You could have been working as a financial or corporate accountant, and you are looking for that next step, we’ll provide the training and development.

You’ll Bring

  • CA qualification and similar experience in a finance role
  • Proven experience building trusted relationships across teams
  • A team-first attitude and willingness to mentor and support others

Ideally, You’ll Bring Experience In

  • NZ IFRS and tax compliance experience
  • Preparing statutory financial statements and monthly management reports
  • Interpreting financial data and offering insights
  • Solid skills in Excel and financial modelling
  • Improving systems and processes
