Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We’re seeking an experienced

Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a well‑regarded multidisciplinary consultancy delivering technically challenging projects across New Zealand.

This established practice provides geotechnical, structural, and civil engineering services throughout New Zealand, the technical teams delivers practical design solutions across residential, commercial, telecommunications, and land development sectors.

This is an opportunity to work on technically interesting projects where your expertise will be trusted and valued. You’ll lead key elements of design, influence critical decisions, and support projects from investigation through to construction.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Geotechnical investigations and engineering assessments
• Slope stability and retaining wall design
• Foundation and earthworks design
• Seismic, liquefaction, and seepage analysis
• Deep excavation and soil–structure interaction modelling
• Construction phase support, site inspections, and specialist advice

About You

• A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• 8+ years’ experience in geotechnical design and analysis
• Strong capability with 2D and 3D numerical modelling tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to mange clients and work as a project design lead
