Are you looking to start your career in the Automotive Industry?

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Service Advisor Cadet to join our busy dealership team. As a cadet you will work closely with our experienced Service Advisors as the face of our service department. You will help bridge the gap between our clients and our expert Technicians.

We're looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about building confidence in customer interaction, and a passion for customer service and hospitality. Customers and customer interactions are the most important part of our business, and you would learn what's needed to be at the forefront of our Customer Experience every day!

The Position

  • Based in our Lower Hutt Branch
  • Customer Greeting: Welcoming customers, introducing them to the required staff and initiating the service process, ensuring they feel valued.
  • Consultation: Listening to customer needs, conducting vehicle walk-arounds, and accurately documenting customer repair orders.
  • Liaison: Communicating effectively between clients and workshop technicians regarding vehicle repair status to ensure our customers are fully informed throughout the duration of their visit.
  • Customer Experience: Ensuring all vehicles are returned to customers in top condition, explaining work performed with a customer centric outlook.
  • Sales & Scheduling: Recommending necessary servicing requirements, providing accurate cost/time estimates, and managing service bookings.
  • Responding to all customer questions and enquires in a timely manner and ensure the customer is well informed throughout the entire process.
  • Providing a great customer experience and being a role model for exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Carrying out adhoc dealership administration tasks including vehicle registration and relicence processing.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in a hospitality, retail or other customer-focused role is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with a customer centric mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Clean and current restricted or full driver’s license
