Working across teams, you’ll manage payroll processes, resolve complex queries, and drive continuous improvement. This is a fixed-term full-time role based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).

Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do

  • Deliver accurate, timely payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid correctly every cycle
  • Manage end-to-end payroll activities, including employee changes, calculations, and compliance with NZ legislation
  • Provide expert support on complex payroll queries and escalations, guiding employees and stakeholders with confidence
  • Handle ACC and leave-related cases with care, ensuring clear communication and smooth coordination
  • Maintain secure and confidential payroll data, upholding strong governance and privacy standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and supporting team capability uplift

Ōu Pūkenga me ōu Wheako | What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in payroll processing, ideally in a large organisation, with exposure to SAP or similar payroll systems
  • Strong understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and meeting payroll deadlines
  • Confident communicator, able to resolve queries and support stakeholders effectively
  • Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using payroll/HRIS systems and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on enhancing processes and delivery
