Position overview and key responsibilities

Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of practitioners across a diverse caseload of patients. You will have the opportunity to work across general practice, minor surgery, travel medicine, women’s health, diabetes, occupational health and more.

The team consists of GPs, Nurse Practitioners, nurses, administrators, HIPS, Health Coach, Pharmacists and telemedicine providers.

· FTE negotiable, options of part or full time to suit your lifestyle

· Play an active role in improving health equity and outcomes for whānau

· Deliver high quality and culturally safe care to a diverse community

· Receive great support from an experienced and passionate team

Essential skills and experience

· Hold current registration with the Medical Council of NZ and a current Annual Practising Certificate, ideally with FRNCGP or be working towards this

· A strong interest in rural and community-based medicine

· Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a multidisciplinary team

· Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient centred approach

· Commitment to continuity of care and building long‑term patient relationships
