Third Age Health (TAH) is a NZ primary healthcare provider delivering high-quality, primary care across aged residential care facilities and community general practice. Our focus in aged residential care is simple: supporting the health, dignity and wellbeing of older people living in aged residential care facilities, private geriatric hospitals, and dementia care communities.
We are currently connecting with General Practitioners to deliver care across ARC facilities nationwide. Flexible contract roles available 0.1 FTE and above.
Locations available
Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taranaki, Manawatu, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa, Greater Wellington, Blenheim and Nelson.
What the work involves
These diverse and rewarding roles provide weekly rounds to Aged Residential Care (ARC) facilities, delivering high-quality care to older patients with complex needs.
You will work closely with onsite nurses and care teams to support the wellbeing and quality of life of residents, with a strong focus on continuity of care and person-centred support.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide excellent clinical care to ARC residents (rest home level care and above).
- Complete regular scheduled visits onsite, with key tasks including new admission assessments, acute care, regular examinations, and medication reviews
- Maintain high quality clinical documentation and uphold professional standards
- Participate in care team discussions, family meetings and quality improvement activities
- Build strong, respectful relationships with residents, families and care teams

What you’ll bring:
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, person-centred approach
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience or interest in ARC (desirable)
