We are looking for a Regional Finance officers on a fixed term to join the Finance and Administration team.

The position reports to Manager, Finance and Administration and will join our newly formed temporary finance workforce. This role is from July-December 2026 and based in our National Office in Wellington CBD.

The salary range for this role is $61,550-$68, 390 based on the skills and expeirence of the candiate.

Mohou ake | About you

The Finance team is in the process of building a finance accounts payable team to support our staff at a particularly busy time as the Commission prepares for the 2026 General Election. This means you will need to be able to quickly build strong working relationships, work well under pressure and consistently deliver work on time and to a good standard. You will have experience in accounts payable and creditor management and a keen eye for detail.

He aha tau e mahi ana | What you'll be doing

  • Experience in accounts payable and credit card management for a large and complex organisation.
  • Processing purchase orders.
  • Processing staff expense claims and ensuring Finance Policies are adhered to.
  • Dealing with internal staff and external customers to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
  • Work well under pressure and able to prioritise workload.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment to creditors.

  • Five plus years work experience in accounts payable
  • A high level of computer and numerical literacy, in particular a proficiency with accounting / finance software and Excel.
  • Effective people and relationship management skills
  • Good at problem solving and working towards resolving issues.
  • Good interpersonal skills and works well in a team.
