About the job
Based in Auckland, you’ll be the sole on-the-ground IT support presence for our northern operations, while working closely with our wider IT team located in Christchurch. This is a great opportunity to build strong relationships across regions, gain exposure to a diverse range of technologies, and play a pivotal role in connecting teams across the business.
As our Help Desk Engineer, you’ll be the first point of contact for IT support across the organisation. You’ll troubleshoot issues, provide timely resolutions, and ensure our people stay productive with reliable technology.
What you’ll need
- Experience in a Help Desk, Service Desk, or IT Support role
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and Android environments and common business applications
- Experience with M365, specifically Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and Entra.
- Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to work independently, effectively managing workload, priorities, and time with minimal supervision
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to travel on a regular basis around our depots in the North Island (with the occasional travel to Christchurch)
- Ability to participate in the on-call IT roster to provide support outside of the regular business hours
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft certifications) are desirable, but not essential
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools will also be beneficial, but not essential
