Accountant- Fixed Term

I am seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Accountant to join my clients Financial Accounting team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting month-end and year-end financial accounting processes, maintaining robust internal controls, and delivering accurate financial reporting across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Month-End & Year-End: Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial close activities.
• Fixed Assets: Manage fixed asset register updates, including capitalisations, disposals, transfers, and asset reconciliations.
• Payments & Cash Management: Process and upload domestic and foreign exchange bank payments.
• Tax & Compliance: Assist with tax filings (e.g., withholding tax) and support compliance-related reporting and queries.
• Team Collaboration: Provide back-up across the wider finance function and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills

• Education: Degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Proven experience with month-end/year-end reconciliations and accounting processes within a medium-to-large organisation.
• Standards & Regulations: Working knowledge of relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and tax compliance.
• Public sector accounting experience is an advantage but not required.
