Senior Marine Invasion Ecologist

We’re looking for a Senior Marine Invasion Ecologist to join our Biosecurity team at Cawthron in beautiful Nelson, New Zealand.

If you’re an experienced scientist in marine invasion ecology, biosecurity or marine ecology and want to apply your expertise to research that makes a practical difference, we’d love to hear from you.

You will lead and participate in multidisciplinary research and consultancy projects concerning the ecology, environmental impacts and management of marine invasive species and other marine biosecurity risks.

This will include designing and conducting research that improves understanding of threats to marine ecosystems and informs environmental management policies, plans, risk assessments and practical interventions.

Join a collaborative team working to understand and manage marine pests and help protect Aotearoa New Zealand’s marine environments.
