Date: 5 days ago
City: Christchurch, Canterbury
Contract type: Intern

Are you a senior clinician ready to combine hands-on patient care with meaningful clinical leadership?

Tend Bishopdale Mall is looking for a Clinical Lead with a background in General Practice or Urgent Care to help shape and support high-quality, connected care for our community on the northside of Christchurch.

Our clinic is brand new opening in October 2026 moving from our old Harewood site. We have plans to increase current GP services to include Urgent Care and same day health services to the region.

This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who enjoys variety and wants to play a key role in leading teams, strengthening clinical quality, and supporting the delivery of GP/UC services in a collaborative, modern care environment.

Alongside clinical work, you’ll provide leadership and guidance to the team, help drive excellence in patient care, and contribute to a positive, high-performing clinic culture. You’ll also be supported by inbox support and our world-class note-taking tool, Scribe, helping create a better experience for both patients and clinicians.

What’s on offer

  • A Clinical Lead role with the opportunity to combine leadership and clinical practice
  • Flexible roster options
  • 32 hours per week (8 sessions) available, with flexibility depending on the right candidate
  • The chance to lead across a model of general practice and urgent care
  • Work alongside a dedicated, multidisciplinary team in a supportive and collaborative environment

What we’re looking for

  • An experienced senior doctor with a background in General Practice or Urgent Care
  • GP/UC Fellowship (NZ or comparable international equivalent)
  • Confidence managing a broad range of presentations across GP care
  • A passion for clinical leadership, mentoring, and supporting team development
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
  • Strong collaboration skills and enthusiasm for working within a multidisciplinary team

Why you’ll love working with us

  • A warm, collegial environment where your leadership and expertise are truly valued
  • The opportunity to influence clinical culture, quality, and service delivery
  • Predictable scheduling to support your work-life balance
  • A modern, well-supported workplace designed to make care better for clinicians and patients
  • Opportunities to grow and lead alongside a passionate, forward-thinking team

If you’re ready for a role where you can make a difference through both clinical leadership and patient care, we’d love to hear from you.
