BAND 4 PHYSIOTHERAPY HCSW – Elective Orthopaedics At Woodend Hospital

36 HOURS/WEEK PERMANENT

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HCSW who wishes to further progress their career within the Acute Physiotherapy Team.

The successful candidate will have several years experience as a HCSW within either a therapy team or a ward setting, or will hold a SVQ Health Care qualification or equivalent. Previous experience or knowledge of exercise or Orthopaedics is essential for this role.

This post will support and work with a team of physiotherapists to deliver care to patients within Elective Orthopaedics based in Woodend Hospital. A key part of this role will be to hold a delegated caseload of patients and provide treatments and interventions within a defined framework. You will be well supported and will be required to work both independently and collaboratively within the team, using your own initiative and be able to problem solve. You will be involved in helping patients to gain safe and independent mobility and support discharge planning. There will be times when you are required to work in other specialties within the Acute Sector, including at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The successful candidate will be well motivated and capable of dealing with a changeable workload. The ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members/carers and members of the multi-disciplinary team is essential.
