Join Ngāi Tahu Holdings Corporation in a hands-on Management Accountant role where your insights will help guide the performance and long-term strength of our farming businesses. You’ll be part of a supportive, high-performing Finance team, with genuine exposure to the commercial realities of a significant and diverse portfolio.

Working closely with Farm Managers, business leaders and finance colleagues, you’ll turn numbers into practical insights that support day-to-day decisions, future planning and sustainable performance. From budgeting and forecasting through to management reporting and analysis, you’ll see the direct impact of your work across the farming operations.

This is a great opportunity for a business-focused accountant who enjoys getting out from behind the spreadsheet, understanding what drives an operational business and developing trusted relationships with the people closest to it.

What You'll Do

• Deliver clear, timely monthly reporting and translate results into practical performance insights.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling for the farming portfolio.
• Partner with Farm Managers and operational leaders to understand key drivers, opportunities and risks.
• Contribute to business cases, investment decisions and commercial evaluations.
• Maintain strong financial controls and confidence in the integrity of financial information.
• Look for smarter ways to improve reporting, systems, processes and overall business performance.

About You

You’re a curious, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys getting to know the business behind the numbers. You’re comfortable building relationships across operational teams, asking the right questions and making financial information easy to understand and act on.

You'll Bring

• Solid management accounting.
• Strong capability across budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis.
• The ability to turn complex financial information into clear, useful insights.
• Confidence partnering with Farm Managers and other operational stakeholders.
• A practical, proactive approach and a genuine interest in how farming businesses operate.
• A relevant tertiary qualification; CA qualification or equivalent experience is preferred.

Experience within farming, agribusiness or the wider primary sector will be highly regarded. Just as important is your ability to connect with operational teams and bring commercial thinking to a practical, fast-moving environment.
