Quality Assurance Coordinator | Onehunga

RCR Group are looking for a motivated Quality Assurance Coordinator to help us strengthen quality assurance across our operations nationwide.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with technical, operational, project support or quality experience who wants to develop their career in quality management and operational assurance.

Working alongside experienced leaders, you will gain exposure to audits, investigations, quality systems and continuous improvement across a diverse range of technical services.

This important role combines managing systems with hands-on work in the field. You will split your time between the office and job sites, working closely with technicians, supervisors, project managers, and subcontractors.

Your focus will be assuring quality outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping to build a strong culture of quality across the company.

We are looking for someone wanting to build a long-term career in quality assurance, operational excellence, and compliance. You may already have experience in a technical, trade, project administration, or health and safety role and be looking for your next challenge. Full support and mentoring will be provided to help you develop your quality management and auditing skills.

Key Focus Areas

  • Support the continued development and improvement of the RCR Quality Management System, helping ensure it remains practical, effective and aligned with business requirements.
  • Assist with the delivery of quality assurance activities, audits and site assurance programmes across New Zealand.
  • Investigate quality incidents, defects, customer complaints and non-conformances, facilitating root cause analysis and driving effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on quality performance, audit outcomes and emerging trends, providing insights that support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with operational leaders, project teams and field personnel to provide quality guidance, coaching and support throughout the planning, delivery and handover of work.
  • Support operational teams in monitoring subcontractor and supplier quality performance.
  • Support the development and maintenance of quality policies, procedures, standards, inspection plans and assurance processes across all areas of the business.
  • Build confidence in the organisation's quality systems through active engagement with customers, regulatory bodies, auditors and other stakeholders, while promoting a culture of Responsibility, Commitment and Respect.

Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who understand field-based operations and can build strong working relationships with technical tradespeople, supervisors and subcontractors.

  • Good attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Confidence communicating with field and office teams.
  • A willingness to learn quality systems and audit techniques.
  • The ability to travel nationally when required.
  • Full New Zealand Driver Licence

Highly Desirable Experience

  • Experience in construction and/or building maintenance.
  • Facilities maintenance and service delivery environments.
  • National or multi-site operations.
  • Experience with Electrical, HVAC, Critical Power, Generators and Renewable Energy.

Qualifications or training in quality management, auditing, project management, investigation methods or continuous improvement would be beneficial but are not essential.
