We are looking for an experienced Senior Stormwater/Civil Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure team. In this role, you will provide trusted technical input and practical guidance, helping us develop thoughtful solutions for a diverse range of complex three waters infrastructure projects. You will help ensure our work meets relevant standards and specifications while strengthening our water infrastructure capability through high-quality, technically robust and innovative design solutions for our clients.
What you’ll do
- Bring PDP values to life by building trusted client relationships and delivering high-quality, innovative technical solutions.
- Plan and undertake investigations, hydrological and hydraulic assessments, design development, detailed design, tender support and construction monitoring for complex three waters infrastructure projects, in accordance with applicable technical standards, specifications and guidelines.
- Lead and manage complex projects with confidence. Experience working with NZS 39xx contracts would be an advantage.
- Review design calculations, drawings, reports and other technical documentation prepared by junior engineers, providing clear and constructive feedback.
- Lead, mentor and support junior engineers working across three waters infrastructure and related water engineering projects, helping them build confidence and capability.
- Manage and deliver projects so that outcomes meet client expectations and remain within the agreed scope, budget and programme.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for an individual who it committed to solutions for our environment and using their talent and knowledge against a variety of projects. With your passion and diverse skill set we hope to deliver quality to our clients and therefore we hope the ideal candidate will have the following:
- A degree, in Civil or Environmental Engineering from a well-recognised university.
- Five plus years of experience in a consulting environment.
- Full Mem status or demonstration of progress to recognised accreditation e.g. CPEng.
- A self-starter, a professional and collaborative approach to work and an ability to work to deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.
- The ability to manage several projects at once and a willingness to work on a variety of water related projects.
- A high standard of safety leadership.
- Excellent written report writing skills.
