Senior Customer Service

Ready to step up? This is a senior role for an experienced customer service pro who's happy to lead from the front and take real ownership of how a branch runs.

Based at our Blenheim branch and reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll be the go-to for customers and the manager's right hand – setting the standard for great service and solution-selling, keeping the branch humming, and stepping in to run the show when the manager's off site. It's hands-on and varied: one minute you're solving a customer's problem with the right product, the next you're on the forklift, checking stock or sorting the day's banking.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading from the front on customer service and solution-selling, and setting the standard for the team
• Providing operational cover for the Branch Manager when they're off site
• Looking after customers – advice, quotes, orders and building long-term relationships
• Yard and stock control – stocktakes, cycle counts, deliveries, forklift work and keeping the branch tidy and safe
• Handling the numbers – invoicing, receipting, credits, daily banking, reconciliations and monitoring debtor accounts
• Mentoring and helping train newer team members
• Being a product expert your customers and colleagues can rely on

What You'll Bring

• Solid customer service and branch/trade experience,
• Drainage, water retic, Industry related experience preferred
• A natural lead-by-example approach that lifts the people around you
• A full NZ (Class 1) driver's licence and forklift F endorsement – or the drive to gain them
• Confidence with numbers, systems and admin – invoicing, stock and accounts
• Commercial nous and strong product knowledge (or the drive to master it – we'll back you)
• A calm head under pressure and a sharp eye for detail
• The fitness to stay active and handle product up to around 20kg
