About The Programme

At Hawkins, we're proud to deliver projects that shape communities and leave a lasting legacy. Our Cadet & Graduate Programme is designed to give you the experience, support, and development opportunities needed to build a successful career in construction.

This is a full-time, permanent position that begins with our structured two-year development programme. You'll gain hands-on experience across a range of disciplines while working alongside some of the industry's best people on landmark projects throughout New Zealand.

Upon completing the programme, you'll be well positioned to progress into specialist roles such as a Foreperson, Quantity Surveyor, Site Engineer, Services Engineer, Zero Harm Advisor,

What We're Looking For

We're looking for motivated people who are eager to learn, contribute, and grow their career with Hawkins.

You'll Ideally Have

  • A recently completed qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or a relevant Trade Certificate
  • A genuine passion for the construction industry and site operations
  • New Zealand or Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or eligibility to work in New Zealand
  • A practical, hands-on approach and a strong willingness to learn
  • Previous work experience (preferred) and a positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
