Archway are partnering with a large and complex public sector organisation to recruit a Financial Systems Budgeting and Reporting Analyst into their ERP team.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced TechnologyOne specialist to step into a role that sits across finance, systems and reporting. You'll become the in-house expert responsible for budgeting configuration, forecasting, reporting and ongoing system development across a complex ERP environment.

About The Role

Reporting to the Manager ERP, you'll take ownership of TechnologyOne Budgeting, Planning and Reporting capabilities across the organisation. The role has a strong systems focus and will see you working closely with Finance, business stakeholders and the wider ERP team to ensure budgeting models, reporting outputs and system functionality continue to meet organisational requirements.

The immediate focus of the role will be supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, with responsibility for maintaining and enhancing budgeting models in a complex TechnologyOne environment. Following the budgeting cycle, you'll spend increasing time developing reporting capability, dashboards, queries and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Maintaining and enhancing TechnologyOne budgeting models
  • Gathering business requirements and translating them into practical system solutions
  • Developing reports, dashboards and queries to support organisational reporting needs
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
  • Managing user security and system administration activities
  • Supporting end users and providing training where required
  • Coordinating testing and implementation of TechnologyOne upgrades and releases
  • Maintaining documentation, controls and system integrity
  • Driving continuous improvement across budgeting and reporting functionality

About You

This role will suit someone with deep TechnologyOne experience who enjoys the systems side of finance and wants to take ownership of a critical organisational capability.

You'll Ideally Bring

  • Proven experience with TechnologyOne Budgeting, including maintaining or configuring budgeting models
  • Strong TechnologyOne reporting experience, ideally including Query Analyser, XLOne, ETL, BPA or similar reporting tools
  • Experience working within a large and complex Financial Management Information Systems environment
  • A strong understanding of budgeting and management accounting practices
  • Excellent business analysis and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to gather requirements and translate them into effective system solutions
  • Strong problem-solving capability and attention to detail
  • The confidence to train and support end users across varying levels of technical capability

Experience within a large public sector environment or local government would be highly advantageous, although not essential.
