We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Tauranga.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team, getting involved across a broad range of work, and working collaboratively to deliver practical geotechnical solutions for our clients.

You’ll work closely with our Team Leader and Graduate Engineer, playing an important role in supporting project delivery across a varied pipeline.

About The Role

You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, from site investigations and analysis through to design, reporting and site observations during construction.

Your day to day will include:

  • Delivering geotechnical investigations, analysis, design and reporting
  • Managing and contributing to residential and land development projects
  • Working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and the wider project team
  • Getting out on site for investigations, observations and construction inspections
  • Supporting and sharing knowledge with less experienced team members
  • Working collaboratively with the Team Leader to deliver quality outcomes for clients
  • Contributing to the continued growth and capability of our Tauranga team

About You

You are a technically strong engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality outcomes and supporting others to do the same. You enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment and are motivated by opportunities to continue developing your career.

  • BEng Civil or equivalent specialising in Geotechnical
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within New Zealand
  • Proven experience in shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, retaining structures, and ground improvement
  • A practical approach to problem solving and project delivery
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment
  • A willingness to get involved and support the wider team
  • Thrive on challenges and motivated to provide innovative solutions for our clients
  • Enjoy working in a team environment and communicating with a wide range of people
