Foundation Operations and Programme Delivery Lead

The MAS Foundation is looking for a Foundation Operations & Programme Delivery Lead to become the operational engine room and drive the Foundation's impact by helping deliver initiatives and leading insights, communications and promotional activities that improve health and wellbeing equity across Aotearoa.
This part-time role (0.8 FTE, 4 days per week) partners closely with our Heads of Foundation to coordinate programmes, support governance activities, manage stakeholder relationships and ensure our work creates meaningful impact. The role is part-time and can be based in Auckland or Wellington, with Auckland preferred. This is a fixed term position for 12 months.

What You'll Be Doing
This is a varied role where no two days will look the same. You'll:
- Provide operational leadership and executive support to the Heads of Foundation, including calendar management, travel coordination and meeting support.
- Lead and coordinate the operational delivery of the Foundation programmes, initiatives and grant activities.
- Prepare Board and Trustee papers, agendas and governance documentation.
- Build strong relationships with ringa raupā (grant recipients), community partners and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities and communications including collaboration with the MAS Marketing & Communications team, to align operational activities with organisational priorities and promotional strategies
- Develop and coordinate impactful storytelling, reporting, dashboards, presentations and to share ringa raupā achievements.
- Develop and improve systems, processes including preparation of engaging reports, presentations and communication materials and ways of working.
- Analyse and translate programme and operational data into meaningful insights that inform decision making and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as a key coordination point across internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who combines strong operational capability with excellent relationship management and leadership skills.
You'll Ideally Bring
- Experience coordinating programmes, projects, grants or operational activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills with a proven ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships internally and externally to the Foundation.
- Experience supporting Boards, Trustees or governance groups.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach, working effectively across operational, analytical and relational activities.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to prepare high-quality reports, presentations and communications including social media platforms
- Ability to translate complex data and programme outcomes into accessible, engaging stories that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence working independently and a personal accountability, initiative and a drive for continuous professional development, organisational improvement and taking ownership of outcomes.
- Strong Microsoft Office and systems capability.
Experience within health, community, philanthropic, not-for-profit or social impact organisations would be highly regarded, as would an understanding of Te Ao Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and/or Pasifika worldviews.
