Senior HR Generalist

If you're an experienced HR professional who enjoys building trusted relationships, supporting leaders and employees, and taking ownership of the day to day HR operations that keep a business running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for a Senior HR Generalist to support our New Zealand business, partnering with leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle. Reporting to the APAC HR Business Partner and leading one direct report, you'll be a trusted advisor who combines sound HR expertise with practical, people-focused solutions.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with leaders on employee relations, recruitment, performance, development and engagement, while helping create a positive and inclusive workplace where people can succeed.

What you'll be doing

• Partnering with leaders to provide practical HR advice and support
• Coaching managers through performance, wellbeing and employee relations matters
• Confidently lead and manage employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary processes, performance management and workplace concerns
• Leading end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities
• Driving employee engagement, learning and development initiatives
• Leading and supporting our HR Administrator
• Overseeing HR operations, compliance and employee lifecycle processes
• Using people insights and data to support better business decisions

What we're looking for

• 6+ years' HR experience across advisory, employee relations, business partnering and/or people operations
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and HR best practice
• A confident coach who can build credibility and trusted relationships at all levels
• Sound judgement and the ability to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and genuine passion for helping people and teams succeed
