Business Development Manager – Commercial Print & Signage

About Focus Print

Focus Print is an established Christchurch commercial printing business providing print, signage and marketing solutions to businesses across Canterbury and New Zealand.

We're growing and looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help us win new B2B customers and build long-term commercial accounts.

The Role

This is a new-business sales role for someone who enjoys prospecting, opening doors, meeting decision-makers and closing deals.

You'll be responsible for

• Identifying and approaching new B2B customers
• Cold calling, email, LinkedIn and face-to-face prospecting
• Meeting business owners and decision-makers
• Preparing and following up quotes and proposals
• Winning new customers and growing recurring accounts
• Managing your sales pipeline and meeting revenue targets
• Identifying cross-selling opportunities across print, signage and marketing
• Building strong, long-term customer relationships

You'll have the freedom to develop your own territory, supported by our design, production, marketing and management teams.

We're looking for someone who

• Has experience in B2B sales or business development
• Enjoys new-business acquisition and prospecting
• Is confident cold calling and meeting customers
• Can negotiate, close deals and manage a sales pipeline
• Is highly organised, motivated and target-driven
• Builds strong commercial relationships

Experience in commercial printing, signage, packaging, promotional products, advertising or marketing services is an advantage but not essential.

An existing Christchurch/Canterbury business network would be highly regarded.

A full New Zealand driver's licence is required.

What We Offer

• $70,000–$80,000 base salary, depending on experience
