As Product Owner – Mobile App, you'll own the vision, strategy and roadmap for our customer-facing mobile experiences across the AMI and State brands. This is an opportunity to create simple, intuitive digital journeys that make life easier for customers, whether they're managing their insurance, making a claim or accessing support when they need it most. Working across New Zealand and Australia, you'll bring together customer insights, technology and business priorities to deliver experiences that are both valuable today and ready for the future.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).

Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for mobile app and online account experiences, aligning customer needs with business priorities
  • Lead product discovery activities, using customer research, analytics and market insights to identify opportunities and shape future experiences.
  • Prioritise and manage the product backlog, ensuring delivery teams focus on initiatives that deliver the greatest customer and business value.
  • Partner with stakeholders across claims, retail, marketing, service, contact centres and technology to align priorities and drive outcomes.
  • Drive innovation across digital servicing, exploring opportunities such as AI enabled experiences, digital claims journeys and self-service capabilities
  • Monitor product performance, customer engagement and adoption metrics to continuously improve the mobile experience

Ōu Pūkenga me ōu Wheako | What You'll Bring

  • Experience in Product Ownership, Digital Product Management or a similar customer-facing product leadership role
  • Proven success developing product strategies and roadmaps that deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes
  • Strong understanding of mobile applications, including native and non-native digital product environments
  • Experience working with customer experience, UX/UI and digital engagement principles to create intuitive customer journeys
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across business, technology and delivery teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices and experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience within financial services, insurance, banking or other highly regulated environments is highly regarded
