Solicitor/Senior Solicitor – Family

PQE: 1–5 years Hours : Full-Time Location: Queenstown

We are looking for a junior to intermediate solicitor to join our Family Team as a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor.

The role

You will work on a varied portfolio of family law matters, representing clients in parenting and guardianship, family violence, separation and relationship property matters, contracting out agreements and estate disputes.

You will work closely with senior members of our Family Team, with full support to build on your experience. You will gain exposure to an interesting workload and work closely with clients.

You will have regular opportunities for Family Court appearances, with plenty of support to further develop your technical and advocacy skills.

What you’ll bring

• A New Zealand practising certificate with 1–5 years’ PQE and relevant family law experience. Your experience may be general, but you will have a strong understanding of family law and a genuine interest in further developing your career in family litigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to approach sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism and sound judgement.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• A confident, proactive and enthusiastic approach to your work.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
