About The Role

Providing accurate and timely accounting support, and working closely with the Accountant and General Manager Finance and Services Support, this role is crucial in maintaining effective financial processes, controls, and reporting across the organisation.

In this role you will

  • Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, coding, supplier payments, and reconciliations.
  • Support month-end processes through preparation of journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Assist with financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure analysis.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and support capital expenditure monitoring.
  • Contribute to audit preparation, financial compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide professional and timely finance support to managers and employees across the organisation.

About You

The ideal person for our team is detail-oriented, organised, and enjoys working collaboratively to support organisational success. Other skills and experience that are highly preferred are:

  • A relevant diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Applications are welcomed from recent graduates, as well as candidates with previous accounting or finance experience.
  • Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, month-end processes, financial reporting, or fixed asset management would be advantageous.
  • Experience using accounting or enterprise software, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Strong communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
