We're currently seeking an experienced
Production Supervisor to lead our Customised Whiteboard Solutions (CWS) production operation in Penrose. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for planning customised orders, developing team capability and improving safety, quality, productivity and cost performance.
About The Role
Reporting to the DC Manager, you'll lead the daily production operation and ensure customised customer orders are manufactured safely, accurately and on time. You'll coordinate people, materials and equipment, monitor production performance, and build a capable, engaged team through structured training, coaching and cross-skilling.
Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prioritise customised production orders to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
- Allocate daily workloads and ensure efficient use of labour, materials and equipment.
- Lead and champion a strong safety culture, ensuring all procedures, risk controls and PPE requirements are followed.
- Manage production quality standards and investigate product issues, rework and customer complaints.
- Monitor productivity, downtime, waste and operational performance metrics.
- Coach, train and develop production team members and labour-hire employees.
- Coordinate onboarding, competency assessments and cross-training activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity and cost reduction.
- Partner with inventory, dispatch, customer service and site leadership teams to achieve operational objectives.

To Be Successful, You Will Bring
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader, Leading Hand or 2IC.
- Strong understanding of machinery safety, hazard management and safe operating practices.
- Experience planning work, managing competing priorities and meeting customer deadlines.
- Ability to interpret production specifications, drawings, measurements and Bills of Materials.
- Proven experience coaching and developing frontline employees.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office (SAP experience will be highly regarded).
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain) is advantageous.
