Senior ITAM Consultant to conduct an enterprise-wide IT asset discovery and assessment, providing visibility of the current technology estate, cost base, and ITAM maturity. This engagement will deliver a practical roadmap to improve asset management practices, governance, and cost optimisation across a complex technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a detailed discovery and assessment of the current IT asset management environment.
  • Identify and document the organisation's asset landscape across cloud, software licensing, infrastructure, and operational services.
  • Analyse current technology spend and consumption patterns to establish the existing cost base.
  • Assess ITAM maturity, governance, processes, and compliance against organisational policies and best practices.
  • Develop a pragmatic roadmap to improve ITAM capability, visibility, and operational effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, licence rationalisation, and improved vendor management.
  • Engage with stakeholders across IT, procurement, finance, and business teams to gather information and validate findings.
  • Deliver clear recommendations and actionable insights to support future ITAM initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering IT Asset Management assessments and maturity reviews within large enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ITAM frameworks, governance, asset lifecycle management, and software licence compliance.
  • Hands-on experience managing and optimising licensing across Microsoft, Oracle, ServiceNow, Salesforce, AWS, and Azure environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex asset estates and identify cost optimisation opportunities.
  • Experience developing strategic roadmaps and improvement plans aligned to business objectives and budgets.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Consulting background with the ability to work independently and quickly establish credibility in a new environment.
  • Experience reviewing technology consumption data, including cloud services, telecommunications, printing, and infrastructure-related costs.
