Our client, a respected regional law firm, is seeking a Senior Solicitor or Associate to join their team and play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services to a diverse client base.

Our client is a well-established private practice law firm with strong roots in the Kapiti and Horowhenua regions. Known for their client-focused approach, they provide trusted legal advice to individuals, families, business owners, property investors, and community organisations. Their practice spans a broad range of legal services, allowing their team to develop meaningful and long-standing client relationships while working across varied and interesting matters.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and commercially minded lawyer who enjoys direct client engagement and taking ownership of their work. You will work directly with clients, manage your own files with appropriate support, and provide clear, practical, and solutions-focused advice. The work is varied and may include property transactions, business and commercial matters, trusts, estates, asset planning, and other general private practice matters.

About You

You will play an important role in supporting clients, contributing to the firm's continued growth, and helping maintain the high standard of service for which the practice is known.

We Are Looking For

  • Admitted lawyer with approximately 5+ years' PQE
  • Experience gained within a private practice environment
  • Strong technical legal skills across relevant practice areas
  • Ability to manage files independently and prioritise competing demands
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and client engagement skills
  • Strong written, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • A practical and solutions-focused approach to legal advice
  • Self-managing, efficient, and adaptable, with a willingness to contribute across a varied practice
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and building lasting professional relationships
