About the Team

The Financial Control team, which is part of Finance at Humm, is responsible for supporting the integrity of Humm's financial results. This involves protecting the assets of the Group, supporting the growth agenda of the business and pro-actively managing our regulatory obligations. We are a relatively flat organisational structure, and as a member of the team you are responsible end-to-end for your area of focus and will need to be flexible and able to take on additional and/or different accountabilities as required.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to work on financial control activities and change projects, which support our international growth aspirations and improve the efficiency and robustness of existing financial control activities. The key projects which this role will be responsible for includes the role out of finance activities for the international business, embedding humm's partnerships, improving data governance frameworks supporting statutory and regulatory reporting. The person is also required to be an integral part of the BAU team, delivering the financial data and reporting on a monthly basis.

What Does an Average Day Look Like?

You would be:

  • Support financial control activities for the humm's business, including the preparation of reporting, delivery of monthly results, and balance sheet reconciliations, with a primary focus on receivables, payroll, and operating expenses.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance requirements.

  • Build and deliver high‑quality, efficient reporting for both internal stakeholders and external parties.

  • Provide backup support for critical finance processes, including monthly loan loss provisioning, product control for key products, and project accounting.

  • Perform data analytics to proactively assess and ensure the financial integrity and accuracy of humm's results.

  • Drive process simplification, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support the Manager / Financial Controller with ad‑hoc requests and project work as required.

Qualifications

  • CA, CPA qualified

  • Minimum 3 years post university experience

  • Financial services experience beneficial
