Occupational Therapist / Kaihaumanu Mahi – Community Team

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist. This position is based in the community (greater Wellington region) and on-site at Laura Fergusson Trust in Lower Hutt. This role will work with clients with brain injury or other complex disabilities/injuries.

Education

This role involves a variety of clinical work (assessment, intervention, innovation, equipment, and education) for injury-related rehabilitation to restore clients’ independence & ability to participate in their everyday life:

  • Supporting clients to adjust to changes & challenges in their lives
  • Monitoring and reporting client progress
  • Assisting clinical aspects within our residential service include assessing and treating clients to achieve independence and wellbeing
  • Collaborating with other Allied Health staff through our interdisciplinary team

The Successful Applicant Will Have

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience
  • NZ Practising Certificate
  • NZ full driving licence
  • NZ citizen, resident or holder of a work visa
