Finance Business Partner

The business Our client is a privately owned, New Zealand-owned services business with a national footprint and more than five decades of trading history. It operates across several business divisions, runs a lean head office function, and is known for a practical, no-nonsense culture. This is a genuinely commercial finance seat inside a business that still moves like the family enterprise it started as.

As the Finance Business Partner you will be the key finance stakeholder for operations and bring order and pace to a business with real complexity behind it. You’ll own a small, capable team and report into the GM Finance.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll be expected to drive outcomes, not just report on them.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading a team of 2
• Management reports for 5 P&Ls
• deliver complex financial models for the organizations CAPEX programs
• Maintain and update performance scorecards
• Owning the budget and reforecasting exercises
• Working closely with non-finance stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes

What we’re looking for

• CA or CPA qualified
• Practical, commercially minded, and comfortable in a private, owner-operated business rather than a corporate environment
• Ability to tell a story with the numbers
• Experience with modern ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365) is an advantage
