Mō te tūnga | About the role

As a Facilitator, You’ll Work Alongside People With a Disability Or Long-term Health Needs, To Seek Meaningful Paid Employment And Support School Leavers To Transition From School Into Employment, Volunteering, Or Other Opportunities. You’ll Take a Holistic, Person-centred Approach To Understanding Each Person’s Goals And Provide Practical Support To Help Them Move Toward Greater Independence And Participation In Work And Community Life. You Will Also

  • Provide support in preparing CVs and cover letters and interview practice.
  • Connect with employers to identifying suitable opportunities.
  • Match people with roles that align with their strengths and interests.
  • Deliver and support employment services in schools.
  • Help our people to prepare for life beyond school, understand work routines, travel independently, and develop confidence in new environments.

Along With Enthusiasm, Empathy And Patience You’ll Also Have Genuine Passion And Commitment To Supporting And Empowering People To Achieve Their Goals. You’ll Have a Demonstrated Ability To Develop Effective Relationships With Employers And Community Support Networks And Good Knowledge And Understanding Of The New Zealand Labour Market. To Compliment These Capabilities, We Would Like You To Have

  • Level 5 qualification or above (essential).
  • Communication skills to support engagement, rapport building, and advocacy.
  • Resilience and motivation.
  • Clean NZ Full Driver's License, with the ability to travel as required.
