Location: Radius Matua, 124 Levers Rd, Matua, Tauranga
Hours of work: 35 hours per week, including a 4-hour Saturday shift every 6 weeks.
Pay rate: Subject to completed recognised qualifications

About the role
Organize and run person-centred event programmes for our care home's dementia unit residents. Work with your team to formulate individual activity plans for each resident. Ensure a variety of creative activities are brought into the facility and made available, while catering to a range of personalities and nationalities.
Duties include
- Supporting residents with social activities, diary planning and personal calendars
- Working with a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to formulate individual activity plans for residents
- Liaising with the team to ensure a variety of activities are brought into the facility
- Working within budgeted parameters

Skills and Experience
- Excellent people and team skills, with experience working with the elderly and their families
- Understanding of the needs of residents with dementia
- Resourceful, flexible, patient and motivated
- Great communicator, dynamic and outgoing, with a sense of humour
- Efficient at managing time
- A clean full driver’s license
