At Civix, we’re redefining land development in New Zealand and we’re looking for an Intermediate Surveyor to join our Auckland team. Based in our central Auckland office, you’ll work across a wide range of land development and infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to both field and office-based work while continuing to grow your technical capability.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering end-to-end surveying tasks across a range of land development and civil projects
  • Carrying out fieldwork, data processing and plan preparation
  • Supporting project delivery by coordinating tasks, tracking progress and meeting milestones
  • Completing topographic and construction surveys to a high professional standard
  • Working closely with planners, engineers and other consultants on multidisciplinary projects
  • Communicating with clients and stakeholders on project progress and technical matters
  • Supporting and guiding junior surveyors where appropriate
  • Identifying risks and contributing to solutions to keep projects on track

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor or Diploma in Surveying (or equivalent) preferred
  • 2–5+ years’ experience in civil construction and/or land development surveying
  • Good working knowledge of NZ surveying principles and LINZ requirements
  • Experience with survey software (e.g. AutoCAD, 12d, Leica Infinity)
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Someone who takes ownership of their work and enjoys being part of a team
  • Cadastral experience is a bonus but not essential.
