The Role
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role sits within the corporate finance function and is responsible for delivering high quality financial reporting, statutory compliance and financial control activities across a complex international business. Key responsibilities include:
- Month-end reporting and group consolidations
- Preparation and review of statutory financial statements
- Managing and coordinating audit requirements
- Monitoring financial controls, governance and compliance
- Development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Providing financial insights to business stakeholders
- Contributing to finance transformation and process improvement initiatives
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
Alongside the core responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to a range of strategic projects including finance systems enhancements, AI-driven automation initiatives, reporting framework development and ongoing organisational growth activities.
About You
You will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong technical accounting capability and a genuine interest in financial reporting. We are open to candidates from either a Big Four, mid-tier or commercial background who are looking to take the next step in their career. To be successful, you will ideally demonstrate:
- CA qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience in financial reporting, audit or corporate accounting
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships across the business
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Curiosity, ambition and a desire to keep learning
