WE'RE HIRING Night Guest Services Agent / Night Porter

We are looking for a reliable and guest-focused person to join our team at The Marlborough Estate and look after our guests and property during the night.

This is primarily a Front Office and Guest Services role, combined with overnight security and porter responsibilities.

You will be the main point of contact for our guests overnight and will help ensure everything is organized and ready for the following day.

Your responsibilities will include

• Looking after and engaging with our guests throughout the night
• Answering telephone calls and assisting with overnight guest requests
• Assisting with late check-ins and early check-outs
• Providing guest services such as minibar requests
• Preparing guest bills for departure
• Preparing documentation and information for upcoming arrivals
• Monitoring, Replying Reservations and guest emails
• Reviewing and booking guest itineraries and confirming activities, restaurants, winery visits, tours and transport
• Preparing Front Office documentation, reports and handovers for the following day
• Assisting guests with luggage
• Conducting overnight security checks around the property
• Ensuring the property remains safe, secure and clean at all times.
• Responding appropriately to emergencies and assisting with guest evacuation if required

We are looking for someone who is warm, organized, responsible and confident working independently.

Previous HOTEL Front Office, Reservations or Guest Services experience would be highly regarded, together with good computer and administration skills.

Most importantly, you should genuinely enjoy looking after people and understand that exceptional guest service continues throughout the night.

As this position carries a high level of trust and responsibility while working independently overnight, the successful candidate will be required to complete satisfactory reference checks, a Ministry of Justice criminal record check, and pre-employment drug testing as part of our recruitment process. Must have a valid work permit in New Zealand

Full time: minimum 40 hours a week

Initially fixed term, opportunity of a permanent role
