EOI: Financial Controller (FMCG)
Randstad New Zealand
Are you a driven financial leader ready to take absolute ownership of technical accounting operations? As a major global FMCG brand sets up its New Zealand manufacturing operations, we are gathering a talent pool for a Financial Controller. Positioned alongside the Head of Finance, this is a rare chance to lead daily operations, build robust financial controls, and act as a crucial operational leader during a major market entry.
The Role
- Lead daily accounting operations and manage a dedicated finance team, ensuring a high-performing and cohesive environment.
- Take absolute, hands-on ownership of the General Ledger, local IRD tax compliance, month-end processes, and external audit relationships.
- Partner across production and sales departments to optimise product costing models, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
- Act as a key operational bridge between local New Zealand execution and global headquarters, driving the digitalisation of financial workflows.
What's On Offer
- A True Greenfield Opportunity: Step away from legacy issues and write the playbook for financial controls and team culture from day one.
- Resilient FMCG Category: Be part of a booming, recession-proof segment that utilises high-quality New Zealand primary resources for global export.
- Global Backing, Local Autonomy: Backed by substantial capital investment, you will have the autonomy to make a tangible impact on the factory floor.
- Competitive Package: A strong base salary (expectations under $175,000) with on-site parking at a cutting-edge facility south of Manukau, avoiding CBD gridlock.
What You Bring
- Must Have: Solid, hands-on NZ financial and team leadership experience, strictly within large-scale FMCG or manufacturing environments.
- Exceptional enterprise systems knowledge (SAP/U9 preferred) and specialist-level expertise in manufacturing cost modules.
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting alongside recognised professional accounting qualifications (CA/CPA).
At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all. We actively encourage applications from any background.
