We are looking for an enthusiastic
Catering Assistant to join our team at CHT Bernadette in Tauranga. This is a casual position offering flexible, as-needed hours to support site operations. In this role, you will help deliver quality food services to residents while maintaining high standards of customer service, food safety and hygiene.
Ko o Kawenga / Your Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, presentation and meal service
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to residents and visitors
- Wash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Maintain clean and hygienic kitchen, dining and service areas
- Assist with stock handling, replenishment and rotation
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures
He Kōrero Mōu / About You
- Previous experience in a catering, hospitality or commercial kitchen environment is preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, reliable and hardworking with a positive attitude
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and capable of performing kitchen duties
- Passionate about providing excellent food service and resident care
