We are looking for enthusiastic

Catering Assistants to join our team at Nelson Hospital. This is a part-time opportunity with guaranteed 20 hours per week, working

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 12:00pm. This role offers a great opportunity to supplement your income while working in a rewarding healthcare environment. You will support the delivery of high-quality food services to patients and contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Ko o Kawenga / Your Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and meal assembly
• Prepare sandwiches, light meals and baked items
• Serve meals in a professional and friendly manner
• Respond promptly to patient and customer requests
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and quality standards
• Complete general kitchen cleaning and support duties

He Kōrero Mōu / About You

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality or food service environments
• Strong food safety awareness and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A positive, reliable and team-focused attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Physically able to undertake kitchen and cleaning duties
