Association Administration Support – Hutt Valley

Are you organised, detail-focused and confident supporting meetings, administration and local community connections? We’re looking for an experienced Administrator to provide practical support to our Hutt Valley Association and Association Chair.

Role
The IHC Hutt Valley Association is seeking an organised person to provide quality administrative support. In this role you will support the Association Chair in meeting the mission of the Association and ensuring Association operations run smoothly. You will also:
- Manage regular email correspondence with members.
- Manage administration for Association meetings (agenda, minutes, action lists).
- Venue booking for events.
- Produce posters for Association events.
- Coordinate the printing and distribution of the biannual newsletter
This is a part-time role of 5 hours per fortnight, working largely from home. This is an ideal role for someone looking to contribute meaningfully within their local community.

About
The ideal person for this role will be highly organised, community-minded, and passionate about empowering people with intellectual disabilities to have their voices heard. You’ll bring professionalism, empathy, and enthusiasm and the ability to balance administrative rigour with a people-first approach. You will also have:
- Strong administrative and computer skills, including minute-taking and database management would be advantageous.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence in supporting meeting facilitation and documentation processes.
- A genuine passion for supporting people with intellectual disabilities to thrive.
- The ability to build and maintain positive local community relationships.
