About The Role

We’re looking for a skilled Welder Engineer for our Tauranga port operation. In this hands-on role, you’ll carry out fabrication, maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of heavy off-road machinery including loaders, material handlers, and terminal tractors.

Location: Tauranga Port

Status: Full-time, Mon-Fri working 7am to 4pm

Specific Responsibilities

• Carry out welding, fabrication, and repairs on heavy machinery and port equipment
• Monitor and replace worn attachments and components
• Provide technical input to improve component quality and longevity
• Maintain a safe work environment and report incidents promptly

Who we're after

• Relevant NZQA Level 4 trade qualification in Heavy Fabrication [or overseas equivalent]
• Proven experience working on heavy vehicles and machinery.
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Bring a positive, can-do attitude to the role.
