As a Chef Manager at CHT Cascades, you will be responsible for leading and managing catering, cleaning, and laundry services while ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational compliance, and resident satisfaction. You will oversee daily operations, financial performance, team leadership, and client relationships while bringing Compass Group's values and vision to life.

Ko o kawenga | Your responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of catering, cleaning, and laundry services to ensure exceptional resident and client satisfaction.
  • Manage budgets, food costs, inventory, stock control, rostering, and overall site performance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to enhance services and contract performance.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members while driving a positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, environmental, and operational standards across the site.

He kōrero mōu | About you

  • Proven operational management experience within hospitality, aged care, healthcare, catering, or a related service industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with a successful track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Commercially astute with experience managing budgets, costs, and operational performance.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, residents, and stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of health & safety, food safety, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement practices.
