Banking Officer

Our client is seeking an experienced

Banking Officer to join their Financial Services team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

This is a varied role that will see you manage banking activities, foreign currency transactions and corporate credit card administration.

About The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the organisation’s day-to-day banking and financial services activities. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Managing domestic and FX bank accounts and transactions
• Managing a sizeable portfolio of corporate credit cards including managing requests, new accounts, limits and card controls
• Supporting card cancellations, replacements and suspected fraudulent transactions
• Reviewing supplier details and banking information
• Bank reconciliations
• Reconciling foreign exchange transactions
• Following up on returned payments and responding to information requests from banking providers
• Monitoring banking regulations particularly Anti-Money Laundering requirements
• Acting as a key liaison with domestic and international banking providers

About you

We are looking for an experienced Banking Officer or Financial Services Officer who is looking for their next opportunity within a large and complex public sector environment.You will be a proactive and customer-focused professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse stakeholder group.

You Will Ideally Possess The Following Skills And Experience

• Previous experience in a banking or financial services role Practical knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering requirements
• Experience administering corporate credit cards or supporting a sizeable card portfolio
• Experience with bank reconciliations and banking transactions Exposure to foreign currency transactions Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
