Our Downer Water team in Dunedin is looking for a Water Serviceperson to join the crew delivering essential water, wastewater and stormwater services across the region.

This is a hands-on role where you'll support the maintenance, repair and operation of critical water infrastructure, helping keep communities connected to safe and reliable services. Working alongside an experienced team, you'll carry out a variety of operational and labouring activities, respond to network issues, and contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of maintenance and renewals works.

You will enjoy practical, outdoor work and take pride in delivering quality outcomes. As a reliable team player, you will bring a strong safety mindset, a willingness to learn, and the flexibility to work across a range of tasks and environments.

We’d value:

  • Experience in civil construction, infrastructure maintenance, utilities or a related field
  • A full Class 1 driver licence (Class 2, 4, WTR or other endorsements advantageous)
  • Strong health, safety and environmental awareness
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with others
  • A positive attitude, solid work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality service for our customers and communities
