Lead Engineer - Platform

We’re on the lookout for a Lead Platform Engineer to join our Digital Workplace Security Services product area, within our Enterprise Technology Hub.

• In this role, you’ll lead a talented team of engineers responsible for platforms that help keep Kiwibank safe, secure and well governed. You’ll work closely with the Principal Engineer, Principal Architect and Product Manager to shape the direction of our security, identity and governance technologies.
• This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide engineers, support technical delivery, and help build reliable, secure and scalable platforms for our people and partners. You’ll also play an important role in enabling our information security, data governance and corporate teams, while contributing to an effortless workplace technology experience.

Please note, this role includes an on-call component.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

• Solid experience across human and machine identity in a large, complex or regulated environment.
• Solid experience with cloud and on-premises directories, identity governance, and privileged access management technologies.
• Experience managing EDR systems across a varied technology environment.
• Cloud infrastructure experience, including Terraform, APIs for complex system integrations.
• A security-first mindset, with experience partnering closely with information security and/or data governance teams.
• Proven scripting or programming experience, with a focus on automation, scalability and continuous improvement.

Bonus:

• Experience working in banking, financial services or another highly regulated environment.
• Experience supporting sprint planning and larger multi-quarter technology initiatives.
• Experience leading across mixed engineering disciplines, including Platform Engineers, SREs.
