Customer Specialist - Invercargill (15 Month Fixed-Term)

We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Invercargill Advice Centre on a 15-month fixed-term contract, covering a period of parental leave. Te tūranga | The role

As a Customer Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, helping them with a wide range of everyday banking needs while building strong and lasting relationships.

You'll

• Deliver exceptional customer experiences in every interaction
• Support customers with day-to-day banking enquiries and transactions
• Help customers confidently use ASB's digital and self-service tools
• Understand what's important to customers and connect them with the right solutions
• Work closely with a supportive and collaborative team
• Continue to learn and develop through ongoing coaching and training

We're Looking For People Who

• Love building relationships and helping others succeed
• Have experience in customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality, tourism, contact centres, reception, education or similar environments
• Are confident communicators who can adapt their approach to different customers
• Enjoy problem-solving and finding the right solution
• Are comfortable learning new systems and technology
• Have strong attention to detail and can manage multiple priorities
• Bring a positive attitude, resilience and willingness to learn

Banking experience isn't essential. If you're passionate about customer service and enjoy making a difference, we can teach you the banking side. Customer-facing experience, strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to customer outcomes are key requirements identified in ASB's Customer Specialist recruitment materials.
